Carl Jung says that people will do anything to avoid facing their own souls. In California, people are projecting their bad qualities on other people who don’t know how to be aggressive.
I liked the kid I was growing up. He had a southern accent. He could make a boundary, make someone laugh, or even set someone straight if he wanted to. Smith wouldn’t have had an uncontrollable emotional outburst if he were in his situation.

Smith apologized for violence, but it was not a prime example of well integrated aggression. Good people are dangerous and conscious of that fact. If the world was pure compassion, a single person could take advantage of everyone. People like movies.
The people who are in favor of his violence are the people who have their own violent tendencies. The excuses he’s seeing are all related to race and gender. People who express contradictions under the surface are what I care about.
It’s good to see that we tend to violence with a sense of acceptance. It’s better to be aware of that than to be angry. What did you think about the Smith drama? What has changed in you since then?
