Forget Enlightenment, What Can Meditation Do For You?

He was fascinated by his first accidental projection after taking a detour from a Wim Hoff lesson. He picked up the meditation routine he had learned from his friend. He didn’t like sitting like the Buddha. It was easier for him to access sensations that he had never seen before.

Different belief systems have different meanings for self-surrender. It’s a process of surrendering to God in Abrahamic religions. Buddhists take the idea of surrendering the sense of a separate self very seriously. It’s involved with surrendering egocentric self and realization of a deeper ontology in psychology.

There are many reasons why we need this kind of surrender. It’s a hustle to exercise control over things we don’t have. You need to become consistent by surrendering this need to show up consistently.

Someone who wants to be more consistent might place happiness in a version of getting ahead that is outside their control. Getting better. They give up if their results aren’t as impressive as they expected.

The idea of surrender allows you to let go of things that are out of your control and learn which things are worth holding onto. Most people are unhappy because they can’t change something about another person, others need some sort of identity purity in terms of race, gender, religion, and so on.
